CVBuilder HBC operates the CVBuilder HBC WhatsApp automated CV and Cover Letter service. We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users across Zimbabwe. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your information in strict compliance with the Zimbabwe Cyber Security and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].

1. Information We Collect

To generate your CV and/or Cover Letter, we collect:

• Full name, contact details (phone, email, city), target job/industry, education history, work experience, and key skills as you provide them via WhatsApp.
• An optional headshot photo, if you choose to include one on your CV.
• Payment Information: transaction confirmation details from Paynow (EcoCash). We do not directly capture or store your mobile money PINs or banking passwords.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to:

• Generate a professional CV and/or Cover Letter tailored to your provided information, using AI language processing services (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini).
• Deliver your completed document(s) to you via WhatsApp.
• Maintain a record of your order in case you wish to request a reprint, edit, or regenerate your document at a later date.

3. Data Retention

• We retain your submitted information and generated documents so you can request updates or reprints without re-entering your details.
• You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us via WhatsApp or email; we will delete your personal information and stored documents within 7 business days of your request. Deletion removes your WhatsApp session data, headshot photos, and generated PDF documents associated with your phone number. Paid order records and contact-form deletion requests may be retained in anonymized form (without your phone number, email, or document contents) solely for accounting and request-history records.

4. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Your data is stored securely via encrypted cloud infrastructure (Supabase) and is only accessible to authorized systems necessary to generate and deliver your documents.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share necessary information with:

• Meta/WhatsApp and Twilio: To facilitate messaging via the WhatsApp Business API.
• Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini): To generate your CV/Cover Letter content from the information you provide.
• Licensed Payment Processor (Paynow): To securely process digital payments.
• Supabase: To securely store your submitted information and generated documents.

6. Your Rights

Under Zimbabwean law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, request deletion, or object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us via our official WhatsApp channel or email.

Welcome to CVBuilder HBC. By using our WhatsApp agent, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Nature of Service

CVBuilder HBC provides an automated CV and Cover Letter generation service. You provide your personal and professional details via WhatsApp, and we use AI-assisted tools to generate a formatted document for your use in job applications.

2. User Responsibilities

• Accuracy: You agree to provide true and accurate information. CVBuilder HBC is not responsible for inaccuracies in generated documents arising from incorrect information you provided.
• Appropriate Use: You agree not to use this service to generate fraudulent qualifications, employment history, or credentials that misrepresent your actual background.

3. Service Fees & Payments

• CV Only: $2. Cover Letter Only: $2. Complete Job Pack (CV + Cover Letter + Interview Prep): $3.
• All transactions are completed securely through EcoCash via Paynow.
• Fees are non-refundable once a document has been successfully generated and delivered. If document generation fails due to a technical error on our end, we will retry generation at no additional charge or issue a refund upon request.

4. Limitation of Liability

CVBuilder HBC provides CV and Cover Letter content generated using AI tools based on the information you supply. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview success, or that any employer will accept the generated document. We are not liable for hiring decisions made by any third party.

5. Termination of Use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, without prior notice, if we suspect fraudulent activity, misuse, or a breach of these Terms.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Zimbabwe.
